Steeple In The Park
Description:

This charming little steeple is the topper for the Gaudi House Museum located in Park Guell in Barcelona, Spain and where the architect, Antoni Gaudi resided for 20 years until his death in 1925.

Chinese Dragon Street Light
Description:

The La Rambla in Barcelona Spain is central to shops, cafes, restaurants and decorative buildings and facades. The street lights are no exception. Upon first seeing the Chinese dragon holding an ornate street light makes one stop dead in his or her tracks to gaze at this wonderful curiosity. The light is on the facade of an early Modernist building, "Casa Bruno Cuadros". The locals call this building the "Casa delsl Paraigues" which means House of Umbrellas.

Knock Knock

Description:

There are beautiful doors throughout Europe and many interesting and artistic door knockers that signal the personalities behind those doors. This particular door knocker from a district in Barcelona, Spain, caught my eye immediately. Shiny and intriguing, it beckoned for a good rapping; instead, I took the image and am sharing it with you.

The Harpist by Toni Abdnour

Description:

The streets and plazas of Barcelona offer not only a feast for the eyes in its medieval buildings and Gothic structures, but also beautiful sounds for the ears. While strolling through the byways and alleys of the Gothic District near the Cathedral of Barcelona, we could hear the melodic strains of a harp. What joy! Barcelona is filled with street musicians.........violinists, accordionists, dancers. The sound of the harp on a Sunday morning was truly special and a beautiful souvenir for the heart.

About Toni:

Hi! Welcome to my ever-growing gallery of images from some very beautiful and interesting places on earth! Here you will find random captures of the landscapes that moved me, of the people that lived in those places, and of objects that belonged there. At this point in my life, I find myself forever grateful to have had the opportunity to travel and to discover a serendipitous passion of photography as a way of holding on to some really unbelievable memories. Sharing them with you quite simply makes me happy.

I am self-taught and an amateur; one day that will change! Until that happens, I will continue to make memories through a lens, through whatever I see. God's world is wondrous, and I like to think I am showcasing a minute bit of that world with each 'schlick' of the shutter.

Thank you for visiting!
